Chatsworth History 

The Town of Chatsworth was incorporated in 1867.

The town is located on US Route 24 in the south east corner of Livingston County. Chatsworth has an average daily population of 1200 citizens. The community is governed with the trustee form of authority, Town Hall is located at 16 North Fourth Street. Local postal code is 60921

Chatsworth has public water system and sewer system operated by the town. Chatsworth has a local police force and fire department with an emergency medical unit.

The community consists of a township library, several parks and museums, churches, public swimming pool and recreation areas. Chatsworth is largely a farming community with 5 light industry manufacturing plants.

By proclamation Chatsworth has been named home of the Bluebirds.
